The Open Philanthropy Project recommended two grants totaling $430,000 over two years to Brighter Green to support work to host another national China Good Food Hero Summit as well as regional summits, administer a “Good Food Incubator” for activists and social enterprises, and research the state of factory farming and advocacy in China. These grants represent a renewal of our September 2016 support to Brighter Green.
One of these grants was a discretionary grant, and both fall within our focus area of farm animal welfare. We wrote more about our decision to recommend other grants to support farm animal welfare in China on this page.
