Open Philanthropy recommended a grant of $100,000 to Griffith University for Professor Deborah Cao, an expert on Chinese animal law, to provide a scholarship for a PhD candidate to study farm animal welfare in China. The funding will also support a survey of farm animal industry workers, which aims to gauge workers’ attitudes toward farm animal welfare and inform future advocacy efforts.

This follows our October 2018 support and falls within our focus area of farm animal welfare.
