The Open Philanthropy Project recommended multiple grants totaling $3,514,761 over three years to Global Food Partners for general support. Global Food Partners is a new organization, led by Elissa Lane, N.G. Jayasimha, and Sabina Garcia, that plans to focus primarily on helping companies implement animal welfare commitments in Asia. Our farm animal welfare team believes this work will help ensure that corporate pledges are fulfilled. Global Food Partners also plans to eventually use a portion of these funds to support work with companies seeking new pledges.

This falls within our focus area of farm animal welfare.

The grant amount was updated in July 2020.
