    The Open Philanthropy Project recommended a grant of $120,000 to Griffith University to support the work of Professor Deborah Cao, an expert on animal law, on advancing farm animal welfare in East Asia.

    Professor Cao plans to use this grant to fund her collaboration with several animal studies academics to write papers on farm animal welfare and vegetarianism; to host a symposium about farm animal welfare in 2017; and to edit and publish a book on farm animal welfare.
