Andrew Szanton — Operation Warp Speed Memoir

  • Focus Area: Biosecurity & Pandemic Preparedness
  • Amount: $75,000

  • Award Date: December 2022

Table of Contents

Open Philanthropy recommended a grant of $75,000 to Andrew Szanton to support his work editing Moncef Slaoui’s memoir. Moncef Slaoui was the director of Operation Warp Speed, which was a government program to accelerate the development of vaccines against COVID-19. We believe that Operation Warp Speed was a major success story, and that helping to share this story could boost the impact of future government biosecurity projects.

This falls within our focus area of biosecurity and pandemic preparedness.
