Derek Foster — Research on Subjective Wellbeing

Open Philanthropy recommended a grant of £40,000 (approximately $49,045.05 at the time of conversion) to Derek Foster to support his completion of a one-year MPhil degree in the History and Philosophy of Science and Medicine at Cambridge University. Derek’s research will be focused on the conceptual issues around valuing subjective well-being relative to other measures of value.
