The Open Philanthropy Project recommended a grant of $25,000 to Aubin Pictures to support a criminal justice media archive scoping project. The grant will allow Aubin Pictures to conduct a needs assessment and propose a strategic development plan to catalogue and archive media footage related to criminal justice reform (e.g. interviews, courtroom or prison footage). The eventual goal is to help make such media footage more accessible to criminal justice reform advocates and storytellers in a way that will support their ability to effectively persuade and communicate with stakeholders.

This is a discretionary grant, and falls within our focus area of criminal justice reform.
