The Open Philanthropy Project contracted with the Commonwealth Veterinary Association for $31,355 to provide travel for international farm animal welfare experts to attend an animal welfare workshop in March 2019 in Bangalore, India. As with our previous grants to support travel scholarships for animal welfare scientists, we believe it is possible to positively impact the trajectory of welfare science in developing nations.

This funding is discretionary and falls within our focus area of farm animal welfare. This project was supported through a contractor agreement. While we typically do not publish pages for contractor agreements, we occasionally opt to do so.
