The Open Philanthropy Project recommended a grant of $200,000 to the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights (LCCHR) for advocacy on federal criminal justice reform policy. LCCHR works with over 200 civil rights oriented groups and has taken a strong position on risk assessment. This funding will pay for staff time and overhead.
This grant was made by a 501(c)(4) social welfare organization, to which we occasionally make funding recommendations.
This is a discretionary grant and falls within our focus area of criminal justice reform.
