Table of Contents

Open Philanthropy recommended a grant of $700,000 over two years to the Center for Applied Rationality (CFAR) to support its Summer Program on Applied Rationality and Cognition (SPARC). SPARC is a two-week summer program for talented high school students to develop quantitative and applied reasoning skills. We believe that SPARC could encourage attendees to work on projects and pursue ideas related to effective altruism and longtermism.

This follows our 2018 support for SPARC and falls within our focus area of growing and empowering the EA community.
